works a lot better without the color. especially b/c your proposal is about blurring/connecting systems, it doesn't want to 'pop' from the context except lightly; and the colors/textures you use should emphasize continuity, natural and manmade systems etc. -- ie concrete and grass textures blending... the D/S high-line renderings did a good job of this, architecturally and representationally.
